This week the U.S. Drought Monitor upgraded Mason County and the surrounding area to an exceptional drought.  This is the worst drought our region has seen since the 1980s. 

I was on the Facebooks the other day and saw an updated drought map.  Most of our listening area is now in the extreme drought zone.  It is dry … and HOT! 

This week we have some cooler temperatures and the perfect time to plant turnips.
