During the growing season we do a weekly update, but now that it’s winter, you can expect a monthly update.

This week the U.S. Drought Monitor upgraded Mason County and the surrounding area to an exceptional drought.  This is the worst drought our region has seen since the 1980s. 

I was on the Facebooks the other day and saw an updated drought map.  Most of our listening area is now in the extreme drought zone.  It is dry … and HOT!
