Resources for Educators

One of our goals at Bob’s Market is to help inspire the next generation of plant professionals. Working with plants isn’t just a job, green collar careers are as varied as any other industry. From greenhouse growers, to maintenance professionals, sales and marketing experts, and other supporting roles, our industry offers a wealth of possibilities. We’re here to help teachers and students discover those possibilities.

School Greenhouse and Garden Programs

If your school has a greenhouse or school garden, we can offer discounted pricing a wholesale rates on finished product for school gardens (a great option for elementary schools), but also seedling plugs for high school greenhouses. Orders can either be placed via Ball Horticulture (full trays) or you can purchase partial trays as a “walk-in” wholesale customer. Many high schools bring their students for a tour and then purchase partial trays of seedlings to transplant, grow, and sell to support their programs. Combine that with fundraiser pricing for finished products, and you have a way to help make your program self-sustaining.

Equipment and Products for Educators

Here are links to some of the equipment and supplies we recommend and use in the greenhouse. Many of these companies offer discounts for school greenhouse and gardening programs.
