010 Traditions
I had planned on releasing this episode on Monday, September 10th. However, things didn’t go as planned. I had planned an interview on September 7th to end the season. The day before my mother had a medical procedure. Little did I know that she would suffer a brain hemorrhage. After being in a coma for a week, she passed away.
Needless to say, I didn’t record the interview, and many things, including this podcast got put on hold.Since then I’ve been thinking about how to wrap up this season and move forward.Back at the beginning of the season I talked about grandpa and his love of gardening. In this episode I think it would only be fitting to talk about my mom’s love of cooking. This episode is dedicated to her.
It's true, Christmas can feel like a lot of work, particularly for mothers. But when you look back on all the Christmases in your life, you'll find you've created family traditions and lasting memories. Those memories, good and bad, are really what help to keep a family together over the long haul.
