Q: How is shopping at Bob’s Market different from what you may be used to in a large department store?
A: At Bob’s Market, you won't find a lot of brand name items. Instead, you'll find unconventional and interesting products as well as everyday basics. We buy products we think are winners and that’ll find a following among our customers.
Q: Is Bob’s Market open all year?
A: YES! Our locations at Mason, WV and Belpre, OH are open all year long to provide quality plants and produce. The rest of our locations are open seasonally (Spring, Fall, and Holidays).
Q: Can I buy items online?
A: We currently do not sell items online. We do sell online gift cards that we will mail to you. However, if you live out of the area, we can send items to you if you pay for the item via check plus the shipping and handling costs. Just contact us to work out the details.
Q: Where can I get Bob’s Market gift cards?
A: You can purchase gift cards online or at any of our retail locations.
Q: I live in another state, and miss Bob’s Market. Can you ship items to me?
A: We don’t make a habit of it, but if you really need something, we’ll do our best to get it to you. We’ve even successfully shipped hanging baskets via FedEx. (No guarantees of course.)
Q: What can I do with my used plastic containers?
A: This year we are proud to offer free recycling of all plastic containers purchased at Bob’s. Flats, hanging baskets, pots, etc. bring them all back to us (empty).
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes. All of our stores accept credit / debit cards.
Q: I bought some stuff I’m not happy with. Can I return it?
A: The retail return policy is not in black and white, but here is our general rule of thumb:
Plants - we will refund your payment or exchange the product "if" it is returned in the same condition that it left in with the sales slip.
Produce - we will refund your money or exchange the product if you are not completely satisfied with the freshness or the quality of the produce with the proper time frame from date of purchase.
Hard good items - we will refund the payment with the proper sales slip if not damaged.
Q: Why does Bob’s sometimes discontinue products?
A:Our mission is to bring you the best quality products at the best prices. To do this, we have to manage our store space well. Each of our products must "stand on its own," meaning it must pay its own way. Each product passes certain criteria in order to earn its way onto our shelves.
There may be several factors that determine why we discontinue products:
- It may be a seasonal product - for example, strawberries, which are in season only specific times of the year.
- The “gang way” factor - because we introduce new products, we have to eliminate older items in order to give our newest items a fair chance.
- The cost of producing the item may increase, which would in turn increase the cost to you - if the item is not a strong seller, we may choose to discontinue it.
